Seaplane safety course highlights

The Seaplane Safety Institute offers training in floatplanes and amphibious aircraft to pilots who need more than just dual from a flight instructor for recurrent training. Seaplane Safety Institute will take this training to a level that no other floatplane facility has done before. Southern Seaplane, Inc. (SSI) has been training its’ floatplane pilots for 30 years by starting with a landplane pilot with no seaplane time to getting their rating and training them with an additional 50 – 75 hours to fly commercial.

Seaplane Safety

SSI has also worked with private individuals who wanted to fly their own floatplane but could not qualify for insurance requirements. We trained them in a manner as if they could fly for SSI professionally. SSI also does recurrent training for the FAA.
